Host, Melanie Holscher, interviews Patty McBee, who opens up about her battles with breast cancer, the guilt and shame she felt when diagnosed, and how she pressed on. The survivors talk about the emotional impact of a cancer diagnoses, which they found almost as challenging as the physical battle.  McBee offers hope to Holscher, who battled Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer, and other patients as she talks about all the details she has forgotten about her cancer treatment. 

McBee shares tips as well as resources that too many cancer patients don't know are available for them. There are so many wonderful organizations willing and ready to help with everything from wigs to cleaning. Everybody needs a Resourceful Patty in their life when it’s their turn to fight. 

There are resources at your hospitals and doctor's offices. Sometimes you and/or your physician can go to the pharmaceutical  companies if you need help with copays or if your insurance won't cover a medication. Often patients don’t feel strong enough to search for resources. When someone asks you "how can I help" give them this resource list and let them do the work for you.

https://cleaningforareason.org/  : This is an amazing resource for anyone going through treatment. two free cleanings during treatment.  I have sent this to everyone I know going through treatment. Not all areas are served by a donating cleaning company but more and more are added each year.

https://www.healincomfort.com/free-resources-for-breast-cancer-patients/ : one site that has multiple freebies and help for breast cancer patients. This is the website that i wish I had come up with on my own.  Not every resource is here but there are a lot.

https://www.cancercare.org/copayfoundation  : help with different cancer diagnosis , not open right now for breast but there are windows of opportunity to apply.
