Dealing with a cancer diagnosis is tough. The uncertainty and the waiting seem relentless. 

Today on The Ovary Jones Show, Holscher interviews Dr. Andrew A Parsons, an Accredited Master coach/mentor supporting personal, executive, and corporate wellness. Dr. Parsons explains wellness coaching and his many years of experience coaching patients to live with and beyond cancer. They talk about techniques to empower cancer fighters at any stage in the battle.

Dr. Parsons graduated in Pharmacology and Physiological Sciences (MSc, PhD) from Manchester University (UK) in the 1980s. He had a successful career in the life science and pharmaceutical industry. Following post-doctoral research positions in Munich (Germany) he joined SmithKline Beecham (later GlaxoSmithKline) and led global scientific research departments, notably in migraine, stroke and neuro-plasticity research. He became an executive business leader in the Neurology and External Research divisions. He was involved in a range of business ventures with small and larger organizations across America, Asia, Australasia and Europe.

His long-standing interest in the science of the mind-body connection is brought to practice as a coach, therapist, coach supervisor and qualified martial arts (Tang Soo Do) instructor.

He is married to Christine and together they run Reciprocal Minds Limited, an award-wining wellness provider. The mission of Reciprocal Minds is to support individuals and organizations develop the skills and confidence to master change. 

Since 2014 he has been part of the emotional support service offered by the Fountain Centre (www.fountaincentre.org), a charity (non-profit) supporting cancer patients and their families.
